Master of Manipulation


I don't ask. I don't have to ask. The kids talk and I hear everything. Most times IDGAF. But sometimes it's like I'm listening to my life being played over and over again. 
He's been with his "new supply" for only 5 months and they've already broken up 3 times. That's 3 times back together. That's 3 obvious times he's manipulated her to come back. 
I knew when I heard it was someone he worked with that it was the perfect set up. Someone he could keep his insecure eyes on. 
Then he stopped working there. But he has internal eyes on her. Someone is reporting back to him and I know it's not our son who still works there. He doesn't GAF either. 
But people are talking and he hears all of it. 
I find it funny that they are saying she said there's just too much drama with him. But...but... he said I was the drama! LMAO 
Soooooo.....
Where you goin ho? You stay right the fuck where you are! YOU are the reason he did what he did. You knew about me. You knew he left his grandkids. You knew his relationship with his kids was strained, because of you! But what you don't know, is they are happy about you. Not because they like you. Trust me. Nothing good has come out of their mouths. They like you cause you keep him away from me! And for that, even I want to thank you! We are all better off without him. So where you goin ho?

In a conversation with my son today, I apologized for everything he went through due to my inability to accept the truth of who I was married too and the pain that caused all of us.  My son was quick to put me in my place. Reminding me that I did what I had to do as a Mother wanting her kids to have a roof over their heads, food on the table, clothes on their backs.  He then said something that blew me away. You were ignored as a baby You got beat everyday as a child Your parents couldn't stand you Your siblings hated you Your 19 yr old baby sitter stole your 12yr old innocence Your uncle molested you well into your teens  You thought molesting your sister was normal You started doing drugs at 12 You had to go to work at age 10 to provide for yourself You were kicked out when you were 16 You were so unloved growing up You have to buy people's love to keep them around Your best friend has so much control over  you You get used by every single person in your life You have a grade school education  You turned to alcohol and drugs to fight your demons  You are addicted to porn You can't last longer than 3 minutes in sex You still pee the bed You have a life you can't escape from But most of all, I'm sorry that I let you pull me into your hell and I couldn't save you!

You can come but he can't...

"If I can't go, you can't go" BUT he could go without me?  This is how my PTSD of inviting myself anywhere began.  We use to get invited to a lot of gatherings. Parties, picnics, etc. At first it was a lot of fun. Making friends. The laughter. The feeling of fitting in. Then it began. As he became more comfortable with our "peeps", when he felt like they loved him enough that he could be himself... the drinking increased and the inappropriate behavior was unleashed. Eventually the invites became, "you can come but leave him at home". How do you think that went over? Yep. "You can't go if I can't go."  My kids had to lose the friends they made at these gatherings. I had to give up my friendships. This repeated for years with each new group of "friends" we would make.
